■ Lead free casting

Demand for lead free products is rising around the world.  With that in mind companies must meet the demand by creating lead free products. Biwalite a new copper alloy certified into JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) has been developed to compete against CAC406 (C83600) and other lead free copper alloys.    

Made from Non-rare metals

Biwalite is composed mainly of Copper, Tin, Zinc, Sulfur and Nickel.  Since the components that make Biwalite are non-rare metals and diverse its market price is relatively stable.  We already have a lot of Sulfur in this world, why don’t we put it into good use. One other advantage Biwalite has due to its composition is that it is usable for products which are often cast with bismuth. 

■ Recyclable

Biwalite is recyclable and easy to form into good products. Our philosophy is that copper alloy castings should be recyclable.  According to the European Copper Institutes homepage bismuth is not technically or feasibly recyclable. Hence, if we wish to move away from lead free products Biwalite seems a clear alternative for the environment.

■ Employee health

Due to leads toxicity constant exposure overtime will have detrimental effects on the health of employees. Since, Biwalite contains no lead components it therefore doesn’t have this side effect.

1.    It has the same or better pressure tightness cutting performance,

and abrasion resistance as CAC406 (C83600).

2.  It is composed of Non-rare metals
